By far, my favorite thing to bake is bagels. They can be time consuming and finicky, but the results are so rewarding. I’ve been told my bagels are better than store bought. I was very humbled by the compliment- after all, I’m just an amateur baker with a mixer and a penchant for bagels.
But, the suggestion gave me an idea- what if I replicated every bagel on Bruegger’s (a popular bagel chain) menu? Over the next year or so, I will attempt to master every bagel on the menu by trying to bake one new bagel a month. Let the bagel making begin!
Like many chains, Bruegger’s menu varies by season and location. This list was created from the selection at my local Bruegger’s in Minneapolis. If I am missing your favorite flavor, tell me in the comments below!
There are 13 bagels on the “Standard” Menu, and I am going to try to conquer them all within the next year! However, many of these bagels will have the same dough (like plain, poppy seed and sesame seed), so I am also going to try to some of the seasonal bagels.
My goal? A baker’s dozen- 13 different recipes for delicious bagels. I cannot wait to begin!
I will update this post with links to my recipes as I go, you can bookmark or pin this page for future reference.
